AccessHE Online learning platform launch

September 22, 2017

AccessHE Online learning platformAccessHE recognises that to engage with young people, going online is a great place to start. Over the last year, AccessHE has been working with university members to develop a suite of short, interactive online courses, aimed at young people aged 13+, designed to give them a flavour of higher education.

On the evening of Tuesday 31 October, London Metropolitan University will be hosting a launch event where guests will be able to access and explore the portfolio of short courses ranging from Chemistry (using the popular Minecraft platform), to Sociology; Mathematics to Photography as well as learning more about studying and applying for higher education courses.

University members who have contributed to this project include: Brunel University London; City, University of London; London Metropolitan University; Royal Holloway, University of London; St Mary’s University, Twickenham; University of Hull and University of West London.

The event will be of particular interest to staff from schools, colleges and higher education outreach teams. Moreover, we are keen to welcome Uni Connect practitioners who will discover how these free courses could be used as valuable outreach tools both in and outside of the classroom to highlight different aspects of higher education.
