BAME Communities in London

August 23, 2016

The aim of the BAME Learners in London project is to increase our understanding of the way in which diverse black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) groups in London relate to higher education (HE) and progression more generally.

AccessHE is working with 9 UCL students to undertake research in 5 different communities across London.

We are currently looking for community representatives from the following areas and BAME groups:

  • Camden – Bangladeshi
  • Brixton – Black African
  • East London – Black African
  • Central – Chinese
  • North London/Green Lanes – Turkish

Our trained student researchers want to speak to representatives from these areas to explore the relationship between their communities, higher education and progression.

If you think you or someone you know could speak to us, please get in touch with Alex Hall, Project Coordinator at alex.hall@londonhigher.ac.uk.
