Access to Higher Education in London Schools Strategy Forum Meeting

HEIs in the capital are investing over £20m in working with schools on widening access work in London. It is essential that London schools are able to shape this spend. This is the launch meeting for the forum. Its aims are to:

  • increase understanding of how schools and HEIs can work together to support the progression of young people from under-represented groups into HE
  • give schools a strategic voice in this work in the capital
  • make this £20m investment in HE more effective
  • support schools to increase participation in HE at Key Stage 5.

At the first meeting we will look to identify the key issues the group should address and a Chair for the group for future meetings. The Chair will be invited to be part of a new ‘Access to HE Strategy Forum for London’ bringing together stakeholders from across sectors which AccessHE is convening.

AccessHE is inviting representatives from schools across London to attend this important meeting and work with us to extend the opportunity for learners from across the capital to attend HE. Refreshments will be available at the meeting.

NB The meeting will be held in central London – full venue information will be emailed to you with your booking confirmation, at least one week before the meeting. To attend the Access to Higher Education in London Schools Strategy Forum meeting (or if you have any queries) please email Olivia Saunders by COP Wednesday 20 April 2016.
