BAME forum

The first BAME forum meeting of the 2017-18 academic year will include:

  • a discussion and planning session to confirm forum outputs for the year, based on the three chosen themes of changing mindsets, retention and attainment. We will begin with the previous meeting’s suggestions around student representation and sharing stories via social media;
  • a presentation from Paulette Williams (UCL) on Envision@UCL; and
  • standing items on sector/policy news and updates, members’ and project updates and students’ voice, kindly provided by Ayo Olatunji (currently BME Students’ Officer at UCLU).

Please see a draft agenda for the meeting.

We are currently welcoming offers from members interested in hosting this and other forum meetings. Please get in touch if you might be able to help. All costs will be covered by AccessHE.

If you are able to attend, please register by 5pm on Tuesday 19 September 2017. If you are not able to attend and are unable to send a colleague in your place then apologies can be sent to Sam Turner at sam.turner@londonhigher.ac.uk.
