Postponed – University Information Day for Disabled and Dyslexic Learners

This event has been postponed with a view to running it in the 2017/18 academic year.

This event is being run in collaboration with our member HEIs in the AccessHE Disability Forum, and aims to give disabled and dyslexic learners a taste of what life at university could be like for them.

The event will give attendees the opportunity to:

    • Visit a university and hear from universities themselves about the support they offer learners with disabilities and dyslexia
    • Listen to current disabled students talk about their own experiences with university life
    • Find out more information about the needs assessment, disabled students’ allowance and assistive technology support

A draft programme of the day can be found here and a flyer can be found here.

The event is targeted at learners in years 11, 12, 13, those in further education and on Access to HE courses.

Attendance is FREE but you must book a place in order to attend. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. School groups must be accompanied by a member of staff.

To find out more information or book a place for yourself or your students, please contact Guy Cowen-Hutton at guy.cowen-hutton@londonhigher.ac.uk.
