AccessHE Creative – East London Portfolio event

Later this term, we will be launching a new pan-London network under the AccessHE umbrella to bring together stakeholders committed to widening access to HE in the creative arts across sectors. This network will be called AccessHE Creative. It will be free to join and convened by AccessHE with the support of our HEI partners.  One of the elements of this network is to provide continuous professional development to support teachers in schools and colleges.  We have been working to address local needs by facilitating meetings between local cultural partners and our member HE outreach teams, ahead of delivering targeted support to teachers supporting young people looking to follow creative pathways.

We are pleased to announce that our first FREE event for teachers and advisers is on 20 October 2016 in East London and will focus on portfolios.  In partnership with Ravensbourne and Kingston University London, our higher education colleagues will give advice on what to include in a portfolio and show reel and how to support students in building on their work before an interview.  Student ambassadors will also be available to showcase their work and talk to colleagues about their experiences and journey into higher education.

A draft programme for the event can be found here.

To book your free place, please click below and complete the booking form. Deadline for bookings is 5pm on Wednesday 12 October 2016. There are a limited number of spaces available, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
