New addition to the AccessHE team

June 30, 2017

At the end of May, AccessHE welcomed another new member of staff. Sam Turner has joined as London Programmes Coordinator and will primarily be driving forward the work of our forums and groups.

Sam brings five years of experience working within higher education roles spanning widening participation, student recruitment and admissions. Having experienced first-hand the transformative impact of outreach work by universities and organisations such as the Sutton Trust as a young student in the north east, Sam is particularly excited to support the efforts of AccessHE’s members to increase social mobility through education. Sam joins us from King’s College London where he helped to deliver the university’s UK marketing and student recruitment activity. Before this, he managed the widening participation programme at Downing College, University of Cambridge, which focused on supporting HE progression for under-represented learners within Cornwall, Devon and Dorset.

Since joining us, Sam has been helping our forum chairs craft the agendas for the upcoming forum meetings in July. If you would like to know more about the work of our six action forums, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at sam.turner@londonhigher.ac.uk.
