Over 200 Year 8 students signed up to attend STEM Expo

At the planning meeting last week for the first of our Capital Access Project Year 8 Expos, the four HEIs involved (London Metropolitan University, Middlesex University, Royal Veterinary College and the University of Hull) were delighted to learn that c.12 schools across Brent, Camden, Hackney and Islington have signed up over 200 Year 8s from under-represented backgrounds to take part in the Year 8 STEM Expo.

To be held in April, the event will feature interactive activities delivered by students ambassadors and academics to inform Year 8s of the pathways to science careers just before GCSE subject choices.
