Raising the Bar project update

The Raising the Bar project focuses on working with young males from disadvantaged backgrounds and utilises sport to expand horizons. AccessHE has partnered with Kingston University London, the University of Greenwich, Fulham FC and Charlton Athletic FC to put together a tailored, 10 week business focused outreach course which has been delivered by the clubs in four schools across London.

Over the next month, the course delivery will come to an end and the project will be evaluated by AccessHE. If this project is found to yield successful results, AccessHE may roll this course out in other schools as part of HEFCE’s Uni Connect. By bringing together partners from educational and non-educational sectors, we are working to create innovative ways to deliver good quality outreach to traditionally hard-to-reach groups.
