Who We Are
Founded in 2011 and a key division of London Higher, AccessHE is the pan-London organisation that aims to drive the access and participation agenda in London: supporting underrepresented student groups to access, succeed in and progress out of Higher Education (HE).
Our small and specialist team does this through a collaborative, ‘whole lifecycle’ approach to the development and delivery of projects, events, research and other initiatives enabling HE institutions (HEIs), schools, colleges, local authorities and sector partners achieve their objectives more efficiently and effectively.
Our vision embodies our commitment to greater equality in HE access and participation:
Higher Education and the opportunities it provides can be accessed by everyone in London who has the ability and desire to attend, regardless of their background, circumstance or characteristics.
AccessHE has a Steering Group – reporting to the London Higher Board – which is made up of representatives from the HE, school and college sectors. As a self-sustaining, membership-based organisation, AccessHE is primarily funded through Member HEI subscriptions. AccessHE currently has 22 HEI Members with input from an advocates network of over 200 schools and colleges.
