Access HE pan-London organisation for Higher Education

Working with SENCos

AccessHE is delighted to welcome along school and college staff, including SENCos or those in other positions supporting students with SEND, to its events and meetings of the AccessHE Disability forum. If you would like to be added to the forum circulation list, please contact Sam Turner, AccessHE London Programmes Coordinator, at tanyel.kazim@londonhigher.ac.uk.

Join the AccessHE Disability forum and SENCo network

The AccessHE Disability forum has set up a Jiscmail list to function as an online help-desk and forum for sharing questions around support for disabled learners in HE. It aims to act as a network to bridge school and college SENCos with widening participation and disability services staff in HE, so they can ask questions and receive impartial advice about complex cases, DSA processes and available support for their students (e.g. accommodation, assistive technology etc).

To subscribe to the Jiscmail list or view archived messages, please visit www.jiscmail.ac.uk/accesshe-disability.

You may have to create a Jiscmail account if you do not already have one. Please contact tanyel.kazim@londonhigher.ac.uk if you have any questions.

Request student ambassadors for your events

We understand how valuable meeting current students at university with similar backgrounds can be for prospective learners considering going to higher education. If you are considering running an event or visit for your students, and you’d like them to be able to speak with disabled learners currently studying at a specific or a range of universities, please get in touch and we will happily circulate your request to our members.
