Introducing AccessHE’s new Deputy Head

AccessHE is excited to welcome a new addition to its team: Dr Richard Boffey, who joined in January 2018 as Deputy Head.

Richard has spent the past five years at Perrett Laver, an executive search firm advising on leadership for educational, research, healthcare, non-profit and cultural organisations. Here he supported a range of UK universities and HE bodies on senior leadership appointments, latterly alongside heading up the firm’s Global Higher Education research team. Before joining Perrett Laver he completed an AHRC-funded PhD in the German Department at the University of Leeds, during which time he also delivered Widening Participation and Schools Outreach events on behalf of the Faculty of Arts.

Having been a Student Ambassador at Leeds, Richard is excited to once again be supporting the access and participation agenda and engaging with AccessHE’s network partners through its projects and action forums.

As Deputy Head, he oversees the operational delivery of AccessHE’s projects and takes a lead role in engagement with members, partners and potential collaborators. Anyone wishing to work together to support improving access and participation in London is warmly encouraged to get in touch at richard.boffey@londonhigher.ac.uk.
