London Uni Connect schools take part in HE Experience Day at City, University of London

On Tuesday 13 November 2018, Year 11 students from London Uni Connect affiliated Bower Park Academy and Drapers’ Academy, took part in an exciting HE Experience Day at City, University of London.

The day commenced with students being allocated to different groups of student ambassadors who shared their own experiences of higher education and insights on university life at City. The first activity was an ice-breaker, where students answered UCAS-related questions in order to unlock padlocks with hidden treasure.

The day then continued with student ambassadors giving each group a detailed tour of the campus, providing students with the opportunity to ask any questions. The second half of the  day concluded with an activity called ‘Game of Life’, a game highlighting all the different factors that affect a students day-to-day life at university. The game entailed learners to collectively decide in their groups on how to manage their finances whilst also keeping in mind how each of their decisions impacted their wellbeing, sociability, energy, skills and money.
