The NCOP team is excited to announce the NCOP Summer University Experience which is going to be hosted by London Metropolitan University and will take place in August 2018. This summer school aims to help Year 10 students familiarise themselves with different courses and careers, and to give students a glimpse of university life.
The NCOP Summer University Experience has been designed as a student-led experience, all days tailored to the pathways that each student has shown interest in. Throughout this three-day experience, students will be exposed to a range of workshops, academic sessions, academic tasters and university visits designed to help them gain necessary skills for Year 11 as well as to explore and develop their potential future careers and pathways.
For the duration of the summer school, students will be staying in a modern accommodation complex in the newly developed Garden Halls located in central London. They will be sharing this accommodation, as well as the overall university experience, with students from other schools across the London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham and Havering. Together, they will have the chance to not only experience university life and develop essential skills, but to also take part in several fun and social activities around London.
