Widening access to creative courses in London

At the recent AccessHE Conference, Students at the Heart of Social Mobility, we shared the work of the Arts & Design network who have  been meeting with cultural organisations around London and developing a new online resource as a way of working collaboratively to support under-represented young people looking to follow creative pathways.

We also took the opportunity to invite delegates to share their experience of working with networks, to suggest some new partners we could bring on board and to discuss both the barriers and solutions around working locally to engage students, teachers and parents.  We came away with some great feedback on the new website, some tips on what a successful network looks like and a list of some wonderful cultural organisations who we will now contact and invite to join the network.
