Disability forum

Please note that this meeting has been moved from Tuesday 27 March and will now take place on Monday 26 March. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

1-2pm: Graham Tranter, Student Loans Company

We are delighted to welcome Graham Tranter, DSA Stakeholder Consultant at the Student Loans Company, to present to the forum for the hour preceding the meeting from 1-2pm. Graham has kindly agreed to address some of the forum’s key questions about Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs). If you have a question or point of discussion you would like to discuss, please email sam.turner@londonhigher.ac.uk in advance of the meeting or use the online form when registering to note your question. We would encourage forum members to contact others within their institutions (e.g. disability support, funding, wellbeing or student services teams) who may wish to join this session.

2-4pm: Disability forum meeting

The forum meeting will focus on mental health, sharing good practice in supporting current students with mental health difficulties to succeed in and beyond higher education, and consider how this can inform outreach and transitional work with prospective learners. The meeting will also include an update on results from the Outreach with Disabled Learners and Inclusive Practices survey, and planning for the next University Information Day for Disabled and Dyslexic Learners.

Please see the draft agenda. A final agenda and any papers will be a sent a week in advance of the meeting to all registered attendees.

If you are unable to attend or to send a colleague in your place you can send your apologies by emailing sam.turner@londonhigher.ac.uk.
