Student Ambassador Forum
Chair: Amanda Cudby, WP Outreach Coordinator, University of Sussex.
This forum provides a consultative assembly for those staff from AccessHE member HEIs working with and/or responsible for Student Ambassadors.
In 2019-20, among other outputs to be explored with Members, the Forum is developing a pan-Membership proposal for a training and development programme for our Member’s student ambassadors. Centered on skills development and employability and aligned with OfS targets on progression and outcomes, this is an ambitious, high-value project to benefit staff and students alike (full proposal here, short version here, video version here).
In 2017-18, the Forum held the 2018 Student Ambassador Conference, developed an employability resource to help ambassadors identify and articulate the skills they are developing in their roles, updated the AccessHE Student Ambassador Handbook template and Ambassador Training Standards, shared good practice in ambassador recruitment and training strategies, and continues to run an active Jiscmail list for questions and feedback. Please e-mail email@example.com if you would like to receive the aforementioned resources developed within the Forum.
- To exchange and develop good practice.
- To maximise opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, networking and information sharing.
