We welcome more fresh faces! In September 2019, AccessHE welcomed Ella Simms to the team, our new NCOP Schools Officer.
*NOW ACCEPTING BOOKINGS* University Information Day 2019 is a *free* half-day event aimed at Year 11+ disabled and dyslexic students at school or college and those in further education, parents/carers, teachers, SENCos and other staff working within schools and colleges.
On Thursday 6th June, AccessHE were delighted to welcome a group of 38 year 9 and 10 girls engaged with HeppSY+, the NCOP operating in South Yorkshire. Their visit to London was part of HeppSY+’s SHE Can project, a bespoke initiative which has been designed to increase aspiration among young women with the ability to study at higher education level but who may not do so.
In July 2019, AccessHE was delighted to welcome Sia to the team, our new NCOP Officer.

AccessHE were delighted to welcome a group of 34 year 12 learners engaged with Greater Manchester Higher, the NCOP operating in Greater Manchester, to London for a three-day / two-night residential Summer School from Tuesday 23rd July – Thursday 25th July. This is the second AccessHE Capital Summer School – the first having run last year in July 2018.
One of the AccessHE team’s longest serving colleague to date, Vanessa, will sadly be leaving us (not all bad news though, as she’s joining one of our Members). We sat down with Vanessa and reflected on her time with us over the past three years.
In July 2019, AccessHE London NCOP Year 9 student cohorts from Bower Park Academy and Marshalls Park Academy came together for an insightful session with The Bank of England, celebrating the close of ‘The Adventure University’ programme.
