Introducing AccessHE Online for 2018-19 with added HEAT functionality

September 26, 2018

Launched in November 2017, the AccessHE Online project has seen some exciting developments to enable learners from different backgrounds learn about different courses and opportunities at higher education level. Designed to be accessed on desktop or even mobile devices, AccessHE Online enables innovative outreach engagement to take place outside of the classroom when and where learners choose.

For 2018-19, as well as more courses being developed, we are also excited to confirm that we are in advanced discussions with the Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT) team to explore the possibility of embedding functionality to allow content providers to track and monitor course usage at an individual user level. This will mean that HEAT members will be able to interrogate and report on their traditional outreach activity engagement alongside their AccessHE Online courses.

Also in 2018-19, the AccessHE London Uni Connect will be continuing to deploy the Adventure University course to year 9 pupils as part of their work with target schools in the London boroughs of Barking & Dagenham and Havering.

As a free online platform, you can explore AccessHE Online right now at www.AccessHEonline.ac.uk. If you are interested in learning more about collaborating with AccessHE and other organisations to create new courses or discussing how AccessHE Online can be incorporated into existing outreach programmes, please contact Vanessa Baptista, London Innovation Programmes Officer at AccessHE (Vanessa.Baptista@londonhigher.ac.uk).
