UCAS Undergraduate reports and Evidence and Evaluation

June 22, 2016

To support further understanding of social mobility in higher education, UCAS published a new set of reports on 9 June 2016.  These reports provide data for over 130 larger universities and include information on the number of applications, offers and acceptances from UK students by sex, ethnicity and background, mainly POLAR3.  The reports are also supported by a data explorer tool and can be accessed at https://www.ucas.com/corporate/data-and-analysis/ucas-undergraduate-releases/ucas-undergraduate-reports-sex-area.

Colleagues will be discussing this new data set at the next AccessHE Evidence and Evaluation forum meeting on 28 June 2016.  This conversation will feature as part of a wider discussion on the appropriate metrics for measuring the impact of widening participation with further details on the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) metrics now available.  To register your attendance at the meeting, please visit https://www.accesshe.ac.uk/events/evidence-and-evaluation-forum-3/.
