Student Ambassador Conference 2017

AccessHE is pleased to announce that the Student Ambassador Conference 2017 will be taking place on Wednesday 8 March 2017 from 5-7.30pm at Ravensbourne.

The venue is right next to the O2 arena at North Greenwich underground station (Jubilee line). More information on the location can be found here.

Please see an e-flyer for the event and application form which we would appreciate you forwarding to your student ambassadors. The deadline for applications is Monday 20 February 2017.

The application form can be filled in electronically or printed and returned hardcopy. There is a space at the end of the application form for each HEI to enter their student ambassador coordinator’s details so student ambassadors know where to return their forms to. Please then forward all completed application forms to Guy Cowen-Hutton.

The Student Ambassador Conference 2017 is an event for ambassadors by ambassadors. The event, now in its third year, is open to any student ambassadors within your institution who have shown a considerable participation in the scheme.

The aims of the event include:

• To provide the opportunity for student ambassadors to network with other student ambassadors at different institutions
• To develop and refine the skills required for the student ambassador role
• To encourage student ambassadors to highlight the skills they have gained to future employers

We are also asking current student ambassadors if they would like to present a workshop at the event, covering an area they have developed knowledge of through their role and which they could share with others e.g. working as a student ambassador through social media or behaviour management when working with students pre 16/18. If you know of any student ambassadors for whom this would be a good opportunity, please also highlight this to them.
