AccessHE Online learning platform launch

AccessHE recognises that to engage with young people, going online is a great place to start. Over the last year AccessHE has been working with university members to develop a suite of short, interactive online courses designed to give young people aged 13+ a flavour of higher education.

On Tuesday 31 October, 5:30pm-7:00pm, London Metropolitan University will be hosting a launch event where guests will be able to access and explore the portfolio of short courses ranging from Chemistry (using the popular Minecraft platform), to Sociology; Mathematics to Photography as well as learning more about studying and applying for higher education courses. Many of the current online courses will be exhibited by their creator institutions to fully showcase the quality and breadth of the courses available.

The event will be of particular interest to staff from schools, colleges and higher education outreach teams. Moreover, we are keen to welcome Uni Connect practitioners who will discover how these free courses could be used as valuable outreach tools both in and outside of the classroom to highlight different aspects of higher education. A draft agenda can be found here.

To register your interest to have the first look at the initial stage of AccessHE Online please fill in the adjacent form. Final confirmations will be circulated on Monday 16 October 2017. Register now to avoid disappointment.
