Launch of the AccessHE Creative Network – widening access to arts and creative higher education in London

AccessHE Creative is the new pan-London network under the AccessHE umbrella to bring together stakeholders committed to widening access to HE in the creative arts across sectors.

At this event we will officially launch the AccessHE Creative Network and welcome you to be a part of it.  We will be showcasing the benefits of the network including a website of resources for young people, parents/carers and teachers/advisors to share information about, and opportunities in, creative arts education and the creative sector – www.accesshecreative.co.uk.

We believe it is vital that we articulate the case for supporting HE progression to creative arts subjects in London for those from disadvantaged groups.  To champion this, we have produced a piece of foundation research which investigates whether the social background of students in London has a bearing on progression to arts and creative subjects in higher education and, if so, why this is the case.  We will be presenting our research report “The more colours you add, the nicer the picture”: unlocking artistic potential in London.

A draft programme of the event can be found here. To book your place, click below and fill in the online form. The deadline for bookings is 5pm on 14 November 2016.

We would be delighted if you could join us for an evening of topical discussion and networking amongst creative colleagues.
