Disability forum

Prior to the forum meeting there will be an optional training session for colleagues. This will be delivered by Peter DeCasagrande, Disability Adviser at Brunel University London, and will cover Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs). The training session will run from 1-2pm.

The forum meeting will then begin at 2pm and will begin with the standing item on the Disabled Students’ Allowance. This will involve a brief update and discussion on how institutions and learners are coping with changes to the DSA. We will further develop the programme for the Year 12 event to be held at the University of Greenwich on 7 July before moving on to discuss the initial findings from the upcoming outreach with disabled students survey, which AccessHE will be circulating to our member HEIs prior to this meeting.
