NADP conference

July 8, 2016

Operations Manager, Lauren Hedges, was pleased to attend the annual summer National Association for Disability Practitioners (NADP) conference at the end of June. Two full days of thought provoking presentations and workshops enabled delegates to explore the future of the Disabled Students Allowances (DSAs) and inclusive practice in higher education. From the components to the barriers of inclusive practice, colleagues shared best practice and research in the field. With the purpose of DSAs to ensure that wherever a student went, they were supported in their studies, the group were challenged with the concept that the future could be one where students won’t be equally supported, due to the cost involved.
