On 16 November 2016, the AccessHE Looked After Children forum is delivering an event called ‘Life After University’ aimed at current HE students in their second year or above from care experienced backgrounds, who are thinking about life after graduation. From leaving care to future employment or further study, students will learn about their rights and entitlements, have the opportunity to take part in workshops and network with people with similar experiences. Speakers from a range of organisations with experience of working with care leavers will be in attendance to give attendees advice and guidance when it comes to thinking about life after university.

We are asking colleagues who work with care leavers currently studying in higher education, whether they are in their second or final year, to highlight this opportunity to them.  More information, including a draft agenda, flyer for the event and how to book a place can be found here:  www.accesshe.ac.uk/lifeafteruniversityevent.  Booking closes 4 November 2016.
