Celebrating Student Ambassadors at our third Ambassador conference

March 10, 2017

The third AccessHE Student Ambassador Conference took place at Ravensbourne on Wednesday 8 March and was the biggest to date. The event, which has become an annual fixture as part of the work of our Student Ambassador Forum, saw over 40 Student Ambassadors from 15 institutions attend, alongside a number of Student Ambassador Coordinators.

The workshops presented by Student Ambassadors on the day reflected the diverse nature of Student Ambassador work and covered the delivery of campus tours and presenting your student experience (St Mary’s University, Twickenham), managing challenging behaviour (City, University of London), making a good first impression in the role (Kingston University London) and #ucalivelive streamed Q and A sessions delivered by Student Ambassadors (University for the Creative Arts).

Those in attendance also had a chance to hear a keynote address by Dr Gary Pritchard, Dean of the School of Media at Ravensbourne, and a careers talk focusing on the various soft and hard skills acquired in the role of Student Ambassador rounded off the evening.
