Year 12 and 13 Studying Outside London Expos

These events give Year 12 and 13 students the chance to learn more about studying higher education (HE) away from home and help them to understand more about the benefits and challenges of studying outside of London.

Those attending also have the valuable opportunity to quiz current HE students who made the decision to study away from home.

During the Expo, universities present interactive and engaging workshops covering many of the key issues associated with moving away from home and studying at an institution outside of London, including:

  • What can I study and where?
  • How do I choose the best university and course for me?
  • What study support is available?
  • What support is there to help me settle in at university?
  • How much will it cost to study away from home?
  • What financial support can I get?

The most recent Year 13 Studying Outside London Expo took place on 21 October 2015.

The next Year 12 Studying Outside London Expo is tbc.

Attendance for students is FREE.  This event is offered as part of the AccessHE School and College Offer which is free for 2015/16 as a result of the funding AccessHE is receiving through the HEFCE National Networks for Collaborative Outreach (NNCO) scheme.

If you would like to find out more about these events for Years 12 and 13, please get in touch with Guy Cowen-Hutton, AccessHE Intern, at guy.cowen-hutton@londonhigher.ac.uk.
