  • Ethnic group is about the group to which you perceive you belong. We'd encourage you to consider this in relation to your story - are there aspects of your own experiences you think are shared by others?
  • Around 200-250 words is ideal. We would recommend typing this elsewhere first and then and copying into the box above.

We’re happy for students to write about any aspect of their journey to and through higher education, including your personal thoughts and experiences as a student of colour. You might want to try and answer one of the questions you had earlier in your educational journey. Consider discussing your previous experiences at school or college or in work, the transition to university, a social or academic experience etc. If you’re struggling to get started, some possible questions or topics are offered here.
  • Drop files here or
Accepted file types: jpg, gif, png, jpeg, jpe.
Please upload an image of you which you would be happy to accompany your submission. This doesn't have to include your face if you don't feel comfortable doing so (although we'd encourage you to consider this as it helps add a more personal touch to the stories).

You can choose a traditional portrait photo, or you might want an action shot or a wider shot which includes an important place to you. Feel free to be creative! Our only requirement is that the image is of a high quality (smartphone shots should be fine).
